Magdalena Kaltseis receives a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta – University of Klagenfurt

The Slavic scholar will do research at the Department of Modern Languages ​​and Cultural Studies from January 2022. The postdoctoral fellowship is offered in collaboration with the Kule Folklore Center at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta.

Magdalena Kaltseis, who researches and teaches as a university assistant at the Institute for Slavonic Studies at the University of Klagenfurt, will go to Canada for a total of 8 months. The scholarship particularly supports work in the areas of identity, ideology, diaspora, multilingualism, language politics and foreign language teaching. Actually, the scholarship is primarily aimed at Canadians or people living in Canada. Nevertheless, the Klagenfurt Slavicist managed to convince the selection committee of the application.
