The town was brilliantly represented during the Occitanie Martial Arts Championship in Sète. Competitors from Luan martial arts, a school located in the heart of the city, delivered a remarkable performance. Under the direction of Sylvain Morel, head and teacher of the school, the athletes involved distinguished themselves in two major disciplines: traditional kung fu and sanda boxing. Their commitment and preparation made it possible to achieve an exceptional tally of 25 medals. Traditional kung fu: 10 medals (2 gold, 7 silver, 1 bronze); sanda boxing: 15 medals (11 gold, 4 silver). These results are the fruit of in-depth work, rigorous preparation and constant investment by participants throughout the season. The infrastructure provided by the municipality allowed athletes to train in optimal conditions, promoting their progress and the emergence of high-level results. Sylvain Morel would like to salute the involvement of the municipality. This partnership between the city and local sports players plays an essential role in supporting young people, transmitting martial values and promoting the municipality on a regional scale. In a spirit of constructive cooperation, a supervised collaboration with Tora Do, directed by Philippe Auteuil, allowed several students to join the competitive team and contribute to this collective dynamic.
With these promising results, Luan martial arts is now looking towards the next event: the French Championship, with ambition, demands and determination.
