Remembering Linda Judge
Linda Judge nee Dunleavy has passed away, leaving behind a loving family and a community deeply affected by her presence. Linda’s journey began in Cum, Lahardane, Co. Mayo, and she spent her final years in Rathkip, Ballina Co. Mayo. Her life was marked by strength, compassion, and a deep sense of connection with those around her.
Beloved Wife and Devoted Parent
Linda was predeceased by her husband Paul, who was her rock and confidant for many years. She was also a beloved daughter, having lost her parents Jack and Linda Dunleavy. Despite these early losses, Linda’s resilience and unwavering love for her family shone through in her every action.
She will be deeply missed by her son Alan and her daughter Ròisin. Linda’s nurturing and guidance have been instrumental in shaping their lives, leaving them with cherished memories and a profound sense of her legacy.
Warm Relations with Family and Friends
Linda’s loving nature extended far beyond her immediate family. She was close to her sisters Bridie Ferrick (Ballinrobe), Mary Ryan (Breaffy, Castlebar), Ena Noble (London), and Geraldine Ryan (Dunboyne, Co. Meath). Her brother John Dunleavy, also from Cum Lahardane, will miss her dearly. Linda’s sister-in-law Tess and many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as extended family members and friends, all share a void left by her passing.
Final Farewell Plans
Linda’s remains are currently at rest at Gallagher’s Funeral Home in Bonniconlon, where family and friends can pay their respects on Sunday evening, February 2nd, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
On Monday morning, Linda’s remains will be transferred to her residence before being transported to St. Muredach’s Cathedral in Ballina. A Requiem Mass will be held there at 11:30 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Bonniconlon Cemetery.
Memorial and Tribute
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mayo / Roscommon Hospice or the Bonniconlon Cemetery Fund, if so desired. These causes were close to Linda’s heart, reflecting her dedication to care and community.
Those unable to attend in person can watch Linda’s farewell Mass live-streamed on www.ballinaparish.org. This ensures that her story and the memories she leaves behind can be shared with as many of her loved ones as possible.
