Kicking off the concert series, the Riga Dome Orchestra will grace the stage on May 24th as part of the “Construction of the Choir” Anniversary Concert series. The orchestra will perform Joseph Haydn’s renowned oratorio, the Creation, a timeless work that continues to inspire audiences worldwide. This performance highlights the orchestra’s commitment to preserving and celebrating classical music traditions.

Opening the Dzintari Concert Hall Summer Season

On May 30th,the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra will inaugurate the summer season at the prestigious Dzintari Concert Hall. This opening performance will feature a collaboration with the band Framest, promising a unique fusion of orchestral and contemporary sounds. This innovative approach reflects the orchestra’s dedication to pushing boundaries and engaging new audiences.

Jurmala Festival Opener with the Osokins

The Liepaja Symphony Orchestra will return to the Dzintari Concert Hall on July 15th to launch the annual Jurmala Festival. This year’s opening will be particularly special, featuring performances with the acclaimed pianists Sergey, Andrei, and Georgia Osokins. The orchestra’s summer program extends to the Rundale Palace, where, on August 2nd, conducted by Gunta Kuzma, they will perform in the White hall. The program includes music by Edvard Grieg, Felix Mendelssohn, and heinrich Hibler. Adding to the allure of the evening, the Liepaja Mežrags Quartet will perform as soloists, showcasing their exceptional chamber music skills.

A Tribute to Maestro Raimonds Pauls

The summer culminates on August 23rd with two special concerts at 3 pm and 8 pm at the Liepaja Concert Garden Blow, wind!. the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra will present a concert dedicated to the legendary Maestro Raimonds Pauls. Under the direction of conductor Andris Veisnis, the stage will be graced by Ance Krauze, Daumants Kalniņš, Dinārs Rudāne, and Ralphs Eilands. This tribute promises to be a heartfelt celebration of Pauls’ contributions to Latvian music.
