Algiers, Dec 30 (EFE).- The Government of western Libya announced this Tuesday that the United Kingdom will analyze the black box of the plane that crashed last week in Turkey, and in which five Libyan soldiers died, including the head of the Army, Mohamed al Haddad.

The Foreign Minister of western Libya, Taher Salem Al Baour, and the United Kingdom ambassador to the Maghreb country, Martin Reynolds, stressed the importance of accelerating the analysis of the contents of the black box and announcing the results as soon as possible to determine the circumstances of the accident.

Last Friday, the department in charge of investigating the accident in Turkey announced that Germany could not carry out the analysis of the black box due to “lack of technical capacity for this type of aircraft”, so they requested support from the United Kingdom.

The head of the Land Forces, Alfitouri Gharibil, also died in the accident; the leader of the Military Manufacturing Authority, Mahmoud Al-Qatawi; military advisor Mohamed Al Asawi and photographer Mohamed Al Mahjoub.

The president of Libya, Mohamed Menfi, announced, during a ceremony in which the deceased were honored, the promotion to the rank of marshal of Al Haddad, considered one of the figures who most supported the unification of the Libyan military and civil institutions, divided since 2014. EFE
