The timing of this achievement is crucial. As of July 2024, onyl vehicles with CSMS certification are permitted for sale in 56 countries, including all EU member states. The UNECE R155 Ordinance mandates cybersecurity as a prerequisite for market entry, establishing LG as a dependable partner in this evolving landscape.

In 2024, LG also secured Automotive Spice certification for cybersecurity, a standard developed by European automotive manufacturers. Prominent US automakers, such as General Motors and Ford, are now incorporating these evaluation criteria when selecting suppliers.
