At the first meeting of the renewed Vologda City Council of schoolchildren, the leaders of Vologda school self-government outlined a work plan for the new academic year. Schoolchildren plan to develop media centers, create environmental groups and hold patriotic events.
The meeting of the Vologda city council of schoolchildren was held at the MC “GOR.COM35”. Representatives of more than 35 schools of the city took part in it. The council includes chairmen of student self-governments, school students elected in September and October this year in elections.
“We organize school events with the guys, which council members help us organize. What we have in our plans on the advice of schoolchildren, the guys themselves decide. Our task is to make sure that school self-government functions normally,” – said the head of the Center for the Development of School Self-Government of the MC “GOR.COM35” Vladislav Yakunichev.
At the meeting, schoolchildren discussed their programs presented in the elections and the plan of events in schools. So, the guys plan to develop media centers in their schools, create volunteer environmental groups. In some schools, the chairmen decided to focus on the patriotic education of schoolchildren. In all areas, schoolchildren will receive support from the Center for the Development of School Self-Government.
Council meetings will be held 1-2 times a month. Its participants will keep checklists for the implementation of their plans and share successes with their colleagues.
It should be noted that on October 21 a conference will be held in Vologda, where the chairman of the city council of schoolchildren will be elected.
Recall that since March last year, on the initiative of the youth and the decision of the Mayor of the city Sergey Voropanov, the Council of Children’s School Principals has also been working in Vologda. The guys are engaged in quality control of school meals and offer adjustments to the school menu.
