Latvian energy company Virši is significantly expanding the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Baltics.Through a recent project, the company has established 28 new charging points at 20 of its stations, each boasting a minimum charging capacity of 160 kW. This initiative aims to provide faster and more accessible charging options for EV owners throughout the region.

We have installed 160 kW of fast charging stations not only in riga and Pieriga, but also in cities like Liepaja, Rezekne, Valka and Grenctal. All stations operate with 100% of Latvian -produced renewable electricity,providing our customers a convenient,secure and environmentally amiable charge. This allows you to move with an electric car without worries not only in the territory of Latvia but also in the nearest neighboring countries. In the course of the project, we have become the first in Latvia, which has introduced the opportunity to pay for charging with both the bank card and the cash – at the box office of gas stations.

The company has installed charging stations at an additional six gas stations, bringing the total number of available charging ports on the Virši network to 77.
