There is no option to support a new government in this parliament. This was stated by the leader of the “Vazrazhdane” party Kostadin Kostadinov to the BNR.
He continues to be of the opinion that Bulgaria’s admission to the Eurozone should be postponed by one year.
“If a contract cannot be renegotiated under extraordinary circumstances, it means that it is not a contract, but a dictate,” explained the leader of “Vazrazhdane” in an interview with the “Nedelya 150” show.
According to him, our country does not fulfill the first Maastricht criterion, because our budget for the current year has a much larger deficit than 3%.
“It is assumed that there will be elections at the end of March – the beginning of April. After them, one of the first things that will be done will be an audit of both the Ministry of Finance and the NSI, in order to establish that there is falsification of data and that Bulgaria was illegally brought into the Eurozone,” stressed Kostadinov.
No member state of the eurozone has entered under such circumstances – without a regular government and without a budget for 2026, he pointed out.
According to him, “the whole of Europe knows that inflation in Bulgaria is more than 3%” (note, ed. these are the data of the Ministry of Finance). NSI is lying, Kostadinov believes.
The leader of “Vazrazhdane” is of the opinion that there is no difference between the previous and the current version of the budget:
“BGN 20 billion is the debt that should be withdrawn according to this budget, and 21 billion was according to the previous one. The budget is a bankruptcy budget”.
According to him, in order to make a deficit of 3%, the income through loans has been increased. For 2025, the state has withdrawn BGN 19 billion in loans, for 2026, BGN 20 billion is planned, he specified, but according to him, “sooner or later this bubble will burst.”
“The deficit is actually not 3%, but around 8%,” stated Kostadin Kostadinov and added his comment:
“This debt spiral into which we are currently being dragged is deadly for our country. In 2 years we will be in debt with BGN 40 billion. Bulgaria has not taken on such a large one-time debt even during the time when it was fighting wars. This is treason. This is a crime. And all this is to get Bulgaria into the Eurozone”.
“I strongly hope that with a high voter turnout, the Bulgarian people will give the opportunity for “Vazrazhdane” to become the first political force, and for the criminals to receive their punishment,” he said. And he continued:
“We are about to definitively consign the mutts, corruption and oligarchy to history, if the majority of the Bulgarian people wish it.”
“Vazrazhdane” offers the return of machine voting to 100% – we offer it from June 2022, the party leader reminded. However, he does not see how this will happen in the current composition of the National Assembly:
“The only thing left for us is to mobilize the Bulgarians to go out and vote, to have a high voter turnout. Everything can be falsified and manipulated, but a high voter turnout cannot. With a high voter turnout, GERB and DPS-NN will be marginal political formations, and PP-DB – a marginal Sofia formation. This depends on the Bulgarian people. With a high voter turnout, Bulgaria will truly be a democratic state.”
We succeeded in overthrowing a government with protests, emphasized Kostadinov. According to him, the government was really scared:
“The fear could be seen in their eyes. We, the Bulgarians, realized our power. I think that a wave will really be raised. We will work to convince the maximum number of people to go vote, even if it is not for “Vazrazhdane”.
There were all kinds of people at the protest, united by the fact that we want to live normally, he also said, but added that further they have huge differences with the PP-DB, even civilizational differences:
“We want the people to have a say, the people to vote, the people to determine their destiny. PP-DB, GERB and DPS want the exact opposite – here is the huge civilizational rift. The Bulgarian people will determine the future of the entire country with their vote in the coming years”.
