Lee was recognized for his tireless efforts in preserving and promoting the traditional culture of Jungseon-ri. His work includes establishing a preservation society dedicated to safeguarding local traditions and successfully advocating for the designation of Jeongseon arirang as an intangible cultural heritage of gangwon Special self-Governing Province.
