iPhone 17 Air: Camera Placement hints at Design Overhaul

The iPhone 17 Air could integrate a front camera located on the left side of the Dynamic Island, which the ultra-fine model is supposed to wear.

This details comes from the Leaker Majin Bu, accustomed to publishing on X supposed leaks from Chinese social networks, wiht variable reliability. He shared an image of screen protectors supposed to correspond to the iPhone 17 range.

These little spectacular images do not suggest great design upheavals for the next generation of iPhone. But on one of the models labeled “IP17Air”, the front camera appears moved: it goes on the right side of the Dynamic Island (as on the iPhone 16 and those expected for the next series) on the left side.

Before considering this detail as insignificant, it is indeed better to examine what it could really mean.

Moving a camera is not remarkable, especially if Apple ensures that iOS 26 takes into account in the reworked photo application or selfies, among others.

But Apple rarely modifies its devices for purely aesthetic reasons. This change could indicate an overhaul of the internal arrangement of the components to allow an ultra-fine model for this future version of the iPhone.
