Pistoia, 11 December 2021 – A very welcome return under the tree. Three concerts to brighten the holidays. Wonderful news for the International Gospel Choir of Pistoia and therefore for the same city. To celebrate next Christmas, the Choir will perform three times on two dates. Next Sunday, 12 December, from 6 pm to Christmas market, al Puccini Gatteschi cultural center in vicolo del Malconsiglio, here is the show “Christmas Gospel Melodies”. The following Saturday, December 18, there will be two performances: from 17 to Small Mauro Bolognini Theater during the greetings to the city of the mayor of Pistoia, Alessandro Tomasi, and from 9 pm in the Cathedral of San Zeno in “Christmas Gospel at the Cathedral”.
“We are honored by the invitation received from the mayor and for the granting of the Cathedral by His Excellency the Bishop – affirms the director of the Choir, the Nigerian doctor by now Pistoia by adoption Augustine Iroatulam -. We will prepare joyful performances to wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the city and province of Pistoia. There is a need to go back to living life in serenity and joy ”. The Choir is fresh from the success of the course for “rusty singers” from the pandemic. Due to the considerable presence, the organizers were forced to find a larger venue. Now many of the participants are part of the Choir: a splendid aggregation.
“We are happy with how the singers and choristers, who stopped during the health emergency, responded with enthusiasm to our vocalization course – he says Iroatulam -. The course, free and open to all, was attended. The next performances will be accompanied by the magical touches on the keyboard of Valentina Bartoli, a young jazz organist and pianist who is now part of our training. Valentina played on important stages. Roberto Laurano he will be on the guitar, while the drums will be entrusted to Raffaele Marseglia and the acoustic guitar to Antonio Giomi ”. For her part, Valentina Bartoli confirmed “I am very happy to be part of the International Gospel Choir of Pistoia”. Among the new choristers, however, Chiara Pietrarelli, Claudia Balli, Gianna Del Pistoia, Sabrina Paoletti, Patrizia Barghini, Lorella Bitini, Serenella Bucci, Lorella Gelli, Luisa Vivarelli and Gherardo Gherardini. Admission to the concerts, which will be free, will take place according to the current provisions of the law.
