US director Oliver Stone no longer wants to make feature films. But he does not want to withdraw from the business entirely.

US director Oliver Stone (“Platoon”, “Natural Born Killers”) does not want to make any further feature films. “I made enough films, and that took a lot of energy,” said the 74-year-old of the “Augsburger Allgemeine”. But he would like to continue working on documentation.

“Making a movie takes a year or two of your life,” said Stone. He is no longer motivated to shoot without great ambition and just for the sake of filmmaking. There is currently no topic that burns under his nails.

Hollywood is also no longer interested in him, said the three-time Oscar winner. He also doesn’t want to work for television and streaming services. «None of this fits the films the way I made them. They are outside the norm. ”
