During a speech at a meeting of the Council for Science and Education under the Head of the Republic of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov noted that it is necessary to develop in every possible way a system of measures to stimulate educational and scientific activity of young people.
So, in order to attract young people to science within the framework of grant support, the head of the region signed a decree in June this year, which increased the size of the grants of the Head of the RD.
An instruction was also given to establish personal scholarships for young scientists.
In addition, a decision was made to increase the amount of scholarships named after Rasul Gamzatov and named after Bariyat Muradova, as well as scholarships of the Head of Dagestan for students and graduate students of universities of the republic from January 1, 2022.
“The scholarship has been increased from 1 thousand rubles to 3 thousand rubles, for graduate students – from 1.5 thousand rubles to 5 thousand rubles; for Dagestani students studying at universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the amount of the scholarship has been increased from 2 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, “the head of the region said, noting that in this way it is planned to gradually stimulate those who receive education.
