  • 1 recipe for easy pie crust
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
  • For filling
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (more for dusting)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups half
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  1. Adjust the oven rack to the center position, and then preheat the oven to 375°F. Push out the crust. For a 9-inch pot, your bottom shell should be about 11 inches in diameter. Place the bottom shell in a pan or plate. Brush the pie shell with milk on the edge of the flute. When you are ready to fill, freeze the shell.


  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add thick cream, half and vanilla and stir until well combined. Pour into the prepared pie crust and bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown, then fix the center of the pie. If necessary, add a little cinnamon powder. Let cool for about 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.
