India and Vietnam have great potential for cooperation in education

India’s Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Madan Mohan Sethi, on Thursday (August 4th) called on Indian universities to create opportunities for education cooperation and student and faculty exchanges with Vietnam.

Addressing the officials of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA) in Bhubaneswar, in the Indian state of Odisha, Madan Mohan Sethi said Indian universities and Vietnam have a huge sphere of cooperation in many fields including education and research.

According to the diplomat, Vietnam has great potential for economic development. Vietnam’s booming hospitality and service sector has served around 30 million foreign visitors every year.

He assessed that Vietnam has made a lot of progress in agriculture, cultivation, animal husbandry and food processing, especially the electronics industry.
