The Nakhodka customs stopped the failed smuggling of one of the crew members of the sea vessel departing for Japan. The sailor brought a prohibited substance into the cabin and planned to go abroad with it to conquer the sea, however, the service dog destroyed all the dreams of a local resident and forced him to answer according to the law, RIA VladNews reports with reference to the press service of the Far Eastern Customs Administration.

During the registration of the Russian ship, law enforcement officers found a paper bundle with plant matter in one of the ship’s cabins.

As a result of operational-search activities, the owner of this “good” admitted that he took drugs for personal use, regardless of all the consequences.

A medical examination confirmed that the substance weighing 2.83 grams belongs to the number of narcotic drugs. Such a volume of hashish oil found is considered a significant amount for criminal proceedings.

On the fact of smuggling narcotic drugs in a significant amount against a crew member of a sea vessel, a criminal case has been initiated. The man faces a term of five to ten years in prison.
