Concerts, conferences, master classes, showcases, etc., the Jazz(s)RA Forum is taking place this year in Lyon: illustrating the dynamism of jazz

It will take place in the metropolis of Lyon from November 29 to December 2, 2023.

After Vienna, then Clermont-Ferrand last year, JAZZ(s)RA, the platform of Jazz actors in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is organizing the 5th edition of the Jazz Forum from November 29 to December 2, 2023 in Lyon.

This event, which this year promises to be very rich, is intended to showcase the dynamism of the regional jazz ecosystem.

A dynamism carried and maintained in particular by the artists, the collectives, the producers, the scenes, the festivals and the schools which adhere to the regional association Jazz(s)RA, the organizing body.

To promote the richness of the regional jazz scene, we can attend concerts, but also conferences, we will discover workshops, speed-meetings and masterclasses for professionals and students in the music industry.

The opening night will take place in a high and superb place generally dedicated to Baroque music: the Chapelle de la Trinité, on the Lyon peninsula!

There will then be professional meetings at the H7 in Confluence, concerts for young audiences at the Périscope (in Perrache), and even showcases (mini-promotional concerts) with partial opening to the public at the Marché Gare, in Confluence.

The Auditorium of the Musée des Confluence will also be the venue for concerts and meetings, again with young audiences.

On the program: young formations or others much more seasoned: from Foehn to Celia Kameni, via Olfio Origlio or the Barolo trio. Carte blanche will be given to David Bressat.
