Nick Hankins, a highly-regarded defensive back from Belleville (Ill.) West, has committed to the Illinois football program. This announcement follows closely on the heels of Illinois securing commitments from two of Chicago’s top players.
Hankins, a composite four-star recruit, chose Illinois over offers from more than two dozen schools, including Missouri, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Iowa. He also received offers from USC, Indiana, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Michigan State, among others.
- According to Composite rankings, Hankins is the No. 352 overall prospect in the country, the No. 10 prospect in the state of Illinois, and the No. 28 cornerback in his class.
