The electric vehicle battery system plant, which Hyundai Mobis is building in Navarra, northern Spain, plans to hire 450 local personnel.

Hyundai Mobis originally planned to hire 350 people, but this time, it is expected to bring about 100 additional recruitment policies to bring more vitality to the local economy.

The plant, which is being built in the IMARCOAIN transportation complex, aims to operate in 2026, with a size of 214 million euros (352.5 billion won).

This is the second largest investment in Navara in the 21st century, and it is possible to produce up to 360,000 battery systems annually.

After completion, the plant is expected to be a core base for the EV industry ecosystem that supplies batteries to VW Navarra (VW NAVARRA).

Governor Chibitte said, “Mobis’s entry into Navara can be evaluated as a successful cooperation case.”
