On Tuesday, September 5, at an operational meeting chaired by Governor Alexei Dyumin, they discussed festive events dedicated to the Day of the Hero City of Tula and the Tula Region.

Tatyana Rybkina, Minister of Culture of the Tula Region, announced that a solemn event with a ceremony of awarding federal and state awards would take place on September 8. Soloists of the Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will perform for the guests.

Also on September 7, exhibitions and projects will open in federal and regional museums, festivals and concert programs will be held.

And on September 8 and 9, the region will traditionally host the All-Russian Festival of Brass Bands “Fanfares of the Tula Kremlin”. This year it will cover Tula, Bogoroditsk, Uzlovaya, Yasnogorsk, Belev and other cities. The culmination of the holiday will be the solemn procession of brass bands along Lenin Avenue, performances and defile of the festival participants on the main square of Tula.

Festive concerts, exhibitions, master classes and fairs, film screenings will be held in municipal cultural institutions. Automobile clubs acquired by municipalities within the framework of the national project “Culture” will go to remote corners of the region with a concert program.

On the eve of the celebration of the Day of the Tula Region, a children’s art school will be opened in the village of Volovo after a major overhaul, and in the Uzlovsky district – a model library based on the Kamenets rural library.

In addition, Alexey Dyumin instructed Tatyana Rybkina to work out the possibility of supplementing the celebration program in the municipalities with free morning film screenings for schoolchildren throughout the region.

The head of the administration of Tula, Ilya Bespalov, said that on Krestovozdvizhenskaya Square and Metallistov Street, a gastrofestival, VseSvoe and Made in the Tula Region fairs with products from Tula farmers and manufacturers will be waiting for the guests of the holiday.

Sports events will be held on Lenin Square. On September 9, the first cycling festival “Magnit – Tula” will be held, as well as the show “Power of Tula”. On September 10, Tula residents and guests of the city will be able to take part in the traditional half-marathon “Arms Capital”. The youth federal project “Street Classics” will be held for the first time.

In the Ethno-Code youth park on Proletarskaya Embankment, it will be possible to get acquainted with the culture of the country and the Tula region in modern formats.

Kazanskaya Embankment will host active entertainment, presentation programs, master classes, exhibitions, concerts, including the performance of the JAZZPORT platform to the accompaniment of light fountains on the water. The program will be completed by the performance of the Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno, whose choice had previously surprised the governor, and festive fireworks.
