High property damage in a fire on a farm in the Unterallgäu

The fire on the farm in Klosterbeuren broke out around 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. More than 180 emergency services from several volunteer fire brigades prevented the flames from spreading to residential buildings. As the police announced, the firefighters pumped extinguishing water from an adjacent stream. The fire debris and parts of the straw were removed with large vehicles in order to be able to extinguish the embers.

An animal dies – no people injured

Most of the animals could be brought out of the stable in good time. The police report says that only one animal has died. People were not injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still unclear

The damage caused by the fire is estimated at several hundred thousand euros. Why the fire broke out on the Klosterbeurer farm has not yet been clarified. The police are investigating this.
