Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova stressed that 45% of Russians will be vaccinated against the flu at the expense of the budget. "In an era of high migration, our tourists must be vaccinated: the higher the level of immunization, the better the level of protection of the entire population," she remarked.
Popova reported in August that the first wave of the incidence of influenza in Russia is expected in the middle of autumn. According to the World Health Organization, mainly influenza B and influenza A H3N2 and H1N1 are expected in 2018-2019. Moscow residents will be able to be vaccinated on more than 500 vaccination sites, open until 28 October.
