Scheme for vertebral fractures in postmenopausal women | International Osteoporosis

In this network meta-analysis (NMA), the researchers estimated the relative efficacy of abaloparatide compared to other therapies to reduce the risk of fractures in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO). Abaloparatide showed the greatest treatment effect compared to placebo in the vertebral fracture network (VF), in the non-vertebral network (NVF) and in the wrist fracture network compared to other treatments. Compared to other treatments, the abaloparatide had the greatest estimated chance of preventing fractures in the following networks, ie 79% for VF, 70% for NVF and 53% for wrist fracture.
