& # 39; Dementia with love & # 39; – Support care partners with education and compassion
Saturday, April 6th, from 9:00 to 13:00

One in five families is currently dealing with a loved one who has dementia. In 20 years, it will be one in two families. The treatment of dementia can be and should be better.
Join us for a half-day seminar. Learn the positive approach to dementia care. You will understand that dementia is more than memory loss. Learn how to:
• Take care of yourself and your loved one
• Reduce their distress and yours
• Keep them engaged in relationships and activities that bring joy
• Keep them safe
• Form a team of assistants so you do not do it yourself
• See what they still left, not just what they lost
This personal and interactive workshop will help you learn. understand and be prepared.
Held on 6 April at the First United Methodist Church, 217 S Church St.
The cost is $ 25 per person; register on https://www.dementiawithlove.com or https://dementiawithlove.eventbrite.com or call the church office at 704-636-3121.
