Quarantined cruise ship returns to port

CNN, (WILX) – A ship which was under quarantine in St. Lucia earlier this week to prevent a measles outbreak, returned to its home port Saturday.

Health officials said only those who already have been vaccinated or have previously had measles will be free to leave.

The others will be vaccinated.

The Freewinds cruise ship is owned by the Church of Scientology.

The Curacao government won't let any of the 300 people off the ship until they've determined who is susceptible to the disease.

"The Freewinds doesn't play around with the people who board the ship. They're very serious about security, very serious about health, very serious about high integrity, and so for me, it's the safest ship in the ocean," said Scientologist General Hafeezah.

Now people must remain on board until cleared by health officials.
