After analyzing data from 212 people, Greek scientists concluded that a regular afternoon nap is an effective way to lower blood pressure. According to the study co-author, Dr. Manolis Kallistratos, "sleep in the afternoon seems to lower blood pressure to the same extent as other lifestyle changes, for example salt and alcohol reduction can lower blood pressure by 3 to 5 mm Hg.
