The Hocking County Health Department says that a Logan McDonald's employee, based at 12904 SR 664 South, recently received the diagnosis of hepatitis A.
McDonald's reported to the health department that the restaurant underwent a thorough cleaning and disinfection process after being informed about the diagnosis.
The health department works with McDonald's to ensure that current and future employees have access to hepatitis A vaccinations.

The health department says that the risk to recent customers of the restaurant that gets sick after eating or drinking from the restaurant is extremely low.
People who think they are at high risk of hepatitis A or know that they have been in contact with someone who has hepatitis A should contact their healthcare provider or the health department for information.
Symptoms of hepatitis A include fatigue, stomach pain, nausea, clay-colored stools and jaundice.
