According to developer 343 Industries, a hotfix to fix ongoing matchmaking issues related to Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle mode is expected to arrive in the middle of next week.
The patch has completed testing and is currently going through the Xbox certification process and is expected to be ready for next week unless new issues arise, writes 343 on the Halo Waypoint forums. Big Team Battle has suffered from several levels of unplayability in the past few weeks due to matchmaking issues that would have caused players to disconnect or not load in a match. The problem is more serious for large groups of players.
As a thank you to players who wait patiently for the issue to be fixed over the holidays, 343 will be rolling out five XP boosts and five challenge swaps to all players who log in after next week’s hotfix release. Offering free upgrades and challenge swaps will be in demand for about a month, says 343.
343 is currently working on a patch scheduled for mid-February that will address other issues, although the developer has not yet shared details on what that patch will include. Further updates and plans on topics like armor customization, cheats, and more are in the works.
Gamers who are Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim additional free XP boosts and challenge swaps this month, along with an exclusive Warthog skin.
