2025 Grammy Awards Announces Special Performances Amid Los Angeles Wildfires
The 2025 Grammy Awards ceremony is set to deliver an emotional and inspiring lineup of performances, reflecting the resilience and unity of the music community amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The Recording Academy has unveiled a diverse roster of artists who will bring a message of hope and support to the event.
Special Performances Highlighting Spirit and Honors
Amid the current crisis, the 2025 Grammy Awards will emphasize special performances that celebrate the spirit of Los Angeles and pay tribute to musical legends. Notably, the event will include an annual In Memoriam segment dedicated to the iconic Quincy Jones, whose legacy will be honored by a star-studded lineup.
Stevie Wonder, Cynthia Erivo, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Lainey Wilson, Herbie Hancock, Brittany Howard, Brad Paisley, Janelle Monáe, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, St. Vincent, and Jacob Collier join a previously announced list of talented artists. Other previously announced performers include Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, Raye, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, and Teddy Swims.
Broadcast Details and Premiere Ceremony
The much-anticipated event will be broadcast live on Sunday, February 2, at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on CBS Television Network and can be streamed on Paramount+. Prior to the main telecast, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will take place live at the Peacock Theater at 12:30 p.m. PT. The ceremony will be available to watch live on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel and live.grammy.com.
Performers at the Premiere Ceremony include Yolanda Adams, Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox, Scott Hoying, Angelique Kidjo, and Taj Mahal. Additionally, current Grammy nominees Joe Bonamassa, Joyce DiDonato, Béla Fleck, Renée Fleming, Muni Long, and Kelli O’Hara, as well as composer Kevin Puts, will be showcased. Presenters at the ceremony will include Brady and Hoying, Bob Clearmountain, Rhiannon Giddens, Queen Sheba, Anoushka Shankar, and Jimmy Jam.
Grammy Awards Show’s Renewed Sense of Purpose
Organizers have announced that the 2025 Grammy Awards will not only celebrate musical excellence but also raise awareness and funds to support wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles. The event aims to generate maximum support for music professionals affected by the wildfires and for the broader community. Since launching the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort last week, the Recording Academy and MusiCares have already raised and pledged over $4 million in emergency aid.
