At the Iwataya Fukuoka store, a Graceful Concert will be held regularly in the piano selection room inside the store.
We welcome wonderful artists every time and deliver heartwarming performances so that everyone who is busy every day can spend an elegant time. A luxurious space where you can play with your eyes and nose. The spirit and presence of the performers, which you can never experience in a concert hall. And you can enjoy the performance with the sound of a simple musical instrument that is unique to the room. In between the programs, there are talks about songs by artists, so you can feel free to enjoy the songs you listen to for the first time.

From the age of 5, Sachiko Imagawa taught me how to play the piano. After working at Toho Girls’ High School Music Department and Toho Gakuen University, he studied abroad at the National Academy of Music in Paris and graduated from the master’s course in the piano department. In addition, he enrolled in the master’s course of chamber music at the Conservatory with unanimous high evaluation from the judges and graduated. After that, he studied contemporary music in the Perfection nement course of the Ecole Normal Conservatory.
He has received many awards such as 2nd prize in Duo Hayashi International Competition, 2nd prize in Concours-Festival Répertoire Pianistique Moderne Grand Prix, 2nd prize in Palma d’Oro Finale Ligure International Piano Competition, and 2nd prize in Contemporary Music Performance Competition’Competition XIII’. He has performed at numerous concerts such as the Iizuka Rookie Music Competition Invited Concert, Music from Toho, and the French Music International Student Gala Concert, as well as numerous music festivals such as Jeux de chaises (Montrior) and Nancyphonies (Nancy).
He has studied piano under Junko Nakamura, the late Kazuko Ariga, Jacques Rouvier, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Claire Désert and Françoise Thinat, and chamber music under Michael Hentz.
Currently, he is instructing younger generations and is energetically performing solo and chamber music in Tokyo and Fukuoka.
