Girona City Council has already opened the calls for grants and support and accompaniment programs for the art and culture sector for the year 2020. The deadline for submitting all applications is until Friday 10 July and to resolve any questions that may arise when submitting projects you can access the Office for the Promotion of the Arts.
“We have expanded aid and subsidies, we have allocated more resources than ever before, and this demonstrates the City Council’s commitment to the city’s cultural sector. This is one of the sectors that is suffering the most from the coronavirus crisis, and that is why it is clearly committed to making direct aid so that they do not have to stop the activity “, explained the Councilor for Culture, Territorial Development and Youth of Girona City Council, Carles Ribas.
From the town hall, the Girona Kreas Grants stand out, which are scholarships and subsidies to encourage training, creation and artistic production; the Broad Culture, for cultural activities complementary to the municipal offer or with the inclusive purpose and of social action; the programs to support the musical creation of La Marfà, which this year have increased by 40,000?, reaching a total budget of 61,800 ?, and which consists of four modalities; and the new Program to accompany audiovisual and cinematographic projects of the Girona Film Office aimed at people in the creative sector and producers, both professional and emerging, who develop the project in the city.
Finally, the calls for the Bòlit, Center for Contemporary Art, are also still open.
