Generac Power Systems, manufacturer of electric power generators, prepares the inauguration this Monday, March 29, of its plant located in Villa de Tezontepec, Hidalgo, to which it directed 600 million pesos in its construction.
The company is also preparing an additional investment of 150 million pesos for infrastructure to be carried out between 2021 and 2022, to ensure the direct employment of 1,000 technicians.
The inauguration is expected to be attended by Omar Fayad Meneses, governor of the state of Hidalgo, and Tom Pettit, COO of Generac Power Systems, and Bulmaro Rojas, vice president of operations of Generac Latam.
Generac has more than 65 years in the Mexican and Latin American market. Diesel and gas electric power generators will be manufactured in the new facilities, and there will be a training center for such equipment. It will also house an operations center for specialized services, including the data centers of the main telephony and banking operators.
The facilities, which have an area of 35,000 square meters, already work 260 people in the manufacture of power generators, in supply chain management, industrialization, manufacturing and quality control, and this year 150 people will be added more, generating a total of more than 1000 direct and indirect jobs.
“These facilities will support the growth of present and future market demand, as it has the ability to scale manufacturing to meet the demand in the telecommunications and data center segments due to changes in technology that are expected to generate a massive increase in data traffic and number of connected devices, ”reads a company statement.
Genera México has a professional team of more than 200 service technicians, offering national coverage and service 365 days a year.
In the total results report for 2020, Generac had a sales growth of 12% compared to 2019.
