With the arrival of Festival Cultural from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the highest house of studies is planning a big party on the Islands of Ciudad Universitaria (CU), for this, it will offer a free concert which is part of the project known as Música Contra el Olvido (MCO), in which they will be mixed different musical genres.

The event will be held with the main objective of commemorating International Music Day. This edition will correspond to its fifth presentation and will bring together groups of psychedelic pop, rock, TexTex, electronic, techno and disco.
Through a press conference the director of the UNAM Culture Festival, John Ayaladetailed that the free Music Against Forgetting concert will take place in the Islas de CU the next October 14, 2023.
It is planned that the event beginning starting at 16:00 hours and? conclude o’clock 22:00 hourstherefore it is expected that the show will have a approximate duration of six hours. Each of the bands that will participate will have a 45-minute set, since the show organizers will have 10 minutes to set up the stage for each band change.
The group GRLS with his psychedelic pop will be the band in charge of starting the event. This is a band made up of young Mexicans who to date have created unexpected sounds to create a fascinating and sensory sensation.
The next band will be rock and is known as TexTexalso called “The dolls”. It was formed at the end of 1985 with the idea of making original rock in Spanish by the Mujica brothers, originally from the town of San Juan Ixtenco, municipality of Tlaxcala.
Likewise, during the UNAM concert there will be a presentation The Wookieswho will merge the electronicshe techno and the disco. They have prestige within electronic music, techno and disco, since they have alternated with big names such as The Chemical Brothers, Die Antwoord, DJ Mehdí and Steve Aoki, among others.
To end the concert they will present Nortec: Bostich + Fussible and the Mexican Institute of Sound (I.M.S). The first of them corresponds to a electronic/nortech music collective formed in 1999 in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, while the second is a soloist who has won a Grammy and has had 4 nominations at the Latin Grammys.
