Fortnite Update V33.30 Deploys OG Chapter 1 Season 2 With New Skins and Map Changes

FORTNITE released its latest update, v33.30, on January 31, 2025, ushering in OG Chapter 1 Season 2. This new season brings a plethora of nostalgic elements, including a fresh OG Pass, a suite of new skins, map changes, and enhancements to various game modes.

Fortnite OG Pass Rewards

The new OG Pass features remixed versions of iconic Chapter 1 Season 2 skins. Upon purchasing the pass, players can unlock the Sparkle Diva immediately. Subscribers to Fortnite Crew will instantly receive the Sparkle Diva as well.

Progressing through the OG Pass unlocks other skins such as the Dancefloor Diva at level 15, Cuddle Team Specialist, and Polar Team Specialist at level 23. Remixed versions of the Cuddle Team Leader and Black Knight appear at levels 28 and 36 respectively. The final level maxes out with the Golden Conqueror, a highly coveted item.

Map Changes and POIs

Fortnite OG mode revisits some of its most iconic points of interest (POIs) from Chapter 1 Season 2. Tilted Towers, Junk Junction, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores, and Shifty Shafts will return, providing players with a nostalgic experience.

Weapons and Gear

Classic weapons and items from Chapter 1 Season 2 are making a return. These items will gradually appear in the loot pool, adding to the nostalgic experience. The list includes:

  • Small Shield Potion
  • Multi-Surface Damage Trap
  • Boogie Bomb
  • Suppressed Pistol
  • Cozy Campfire
  • Chug Jug – can be used while moving
  • Minigun
  • Crossbow
  • Impulse Grenade

Several of these items are already available, enhancing the replay value and strategic depth of the game.

End of Godzilla Era

For Battle Royale players, the latest update signals the end of the Titan Takedown event. This means Godzilla will no longer be a threat or a playable character in matches. The goodbye to Godzilla marks the beginning of the end for Chapter 6 Season 1: Demon Hunters, set to close on February 21, 2025.
