They may be the headliners for the next few years. The Les Aventuriers music festival has unearthed new talents and is back for a 17th edition, still in Fontenay-sous-Bois from this Friday and until Sunday, according to a new formula, and a more pop and electro program but also more feminine. Of the eleven artists who will perform on the stage of the Gérard-Philipe cultural space, there are seven emerging musicians.
Among them, the singer Poupie, discovered in the program “The Voice” and who released her first album “Enfant Roi” in September. There will also be Léonie Pernet and Lucie Antunes, both drummers alongside Yuskek.
Besides concerts, the festival has planned new activities. So, before her Saturday night show, you can meet Laura Slama, alias Matcha at the Gérard Philipe space this Wednesday and Thursday. Winner of the Jeunes Aventuriers springboard, the 26-year-old young woman who lives in Vanves (Hauts-de-Seine) released her first EP “Travers” at the end of 2020 followed in March by two other titles “Escroc” and “Je m’isole” . Having worked on the shows “X Factor”, “La Nouvelle Star” and “The Voice”, she also studied for several years at the Vanves Conservatory.
For an hour, you will be able to discover the first drafts of his new album by attending a rehearsal, followed by a discussion time. The singer will speak in particular about the place of women in the music industry.
Make yourself comfortable and let yourself be carried away by the music. A listening session to Portishead’s Dummy album is being organized at the Louis-Aragon media library this Saturday. The experience offered by the Sonorium company consists of listening to an entire album without interruption in high-fidelity sound.
This album, released in 1994 is the first of the English group. He helped popularize the trip hop genre, a music that mixes soul, funk and jazz.
Julien Bitoun, professor of rock history at Sciences-po Paris, musician and author, will then lead the session by presenting the album, its creation context and some listening keys. Be careful, you have to book!
To learn more about the eleven artists who will perform on stage, the festival team will post interviews with the musicians on their YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
