The project is structured around 3 programs: the extra-curricular Educ’art program which allows children to join a club where they can express their passion; the Educ’art holiday program to occupy the children during the holidays; and the Educ’art citizen program which will help out-of-school young people to have a job, to live a passion and to integrate into the social fabric through the arts.
The establishments concerned are, among others, the Jules Vergnes school, La Farandole, Blaise pascal, the Mimo Sifcom academy and the Higher School of Interpreting and Translation (Esit).
For the director of the French Institute, Patrice Thévier, it is a great satisfaction to see children practicing artistic disciplines. “This is the first time that education and the arts have been highlighted and it is an important element, seeing children practiced artistic disciplines such as singing, dancing, theater, is something which gives emotion and which brings a special touch, we are really delighted to welcome such an initiative which for several months allowed the teachers of the Isaac to come to work with the schools ”, he expressed himself. .
At the end of the meeting, Toussaint N’zian, indicated that the “Educ’art” project will extend to other establishments in towns in the interior of Côte d’Ivoire. Dances, songs, theaters, plastic arts, puppet and clown shows as well as graduation ceremonies for participating schools will also be on the menu of this festival.
