The Head of Government for the management of current affairs, Elyes Fakhfakh, traveled on Tuesday to Tunis Carthage international airport where he insisted on the imperative to increase the number of tests for the coronavirus for the benefit of airport employees, particularly those on the front line, in terms of welcoming tourists and Tunisians returning from abroad.
Accompanied by the interim ministers of Public Health and Transport and Logistics as well as that of Tourism and Handicrafts, Fakhfakh also learned about the degree of compliance with the health protocol applied at the airport and the functioning of the COVID 19 monitoring cell set up to ensure compliance with barrier measures (wearing protective masks, physical distancing, etc.) by all employees and during all hours of service.
He also inspected the sampling points intended for PCR analyzes and which were reinforced to be able to carry out an average of 500 analyzes daily for the benefit of airport agents, all specialties combined. Elyes Fakhfakh’s visit to Tunis Carthage airport comes after the discovery of 26 new coronavirus contaminations among airport staff.
