According to police reports,the counterfeit documents,bearing the forged letterheads of reputable institutions such as Italian Hospital,San Juan de Dios,and UPA de los Hornos,were being sold for ample sums,reaching up to 65,000 pesos (approximately $700 USD based on current exchange rates).

During the search of the property, law enforcement officials discovered a trove of incriminating evidence. This included a significant quantity of fake documents, 15 counterfeit medical stamps, prescription pads, official forms from various health institutions, and even an unlicensed .22 caliber revolver.Detailed records of pricing were also found, revealing a tiered system for different types of falsified documents.

Such as, basic “good health” certificates were priced at 7,000 pesos, while falsified payroll documents for law enforcement personnel commanded a higher price of 8,000 pesos. The most lucrative product was the 30-day psychiatric license, which was sold for 65,000 pesos. The demand for these licenses highlights a potential issue wiht individuals seeking to exploit the system for personal gain, such as avoiding work or legal responsibilities.

Adding to the drama, an individual arrived at the property during the police raid, seeking a certificate in the name of “Evelyn.” Unaware of the ongoing operation, the individual was promptly arrested, further underscoring the scale and reach of the illegal enterprise.
