The brother of two young tourists involved in the tragic monte Faito cable car accident in April has voiced his faith in the Italian justice system. Mohammed Suliman, 33, the older brother of Thabet Suliman Jaan and Janan Suliman Jaan, expressed his confidence that those responsible will be held accountable.

Thabet was seriously injured in the incident and is the sole survivor from his family. Janan, a 25-year-old pharmacist, tragically lost her life along with three others. Mohammed, accompanied by lawyer Sedu, attended a hearing in Torre Annunziata concerning the investigation into the accident. “I’m not talking Italian,” he explained,”But I understood that there will be maximum commitment to reconstruct what happened.”

“we are sure that Italian justice will be able to identify the managers of what has happened.”

Mohammed also extended his gratitude to the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, and the general manager of ASL Napoli 1 Center, Verdoliva Cyrus, for their assurances regarding the care and rehabilitation of his brother at the Hospital of the Sea. “Thank you for the effort they are making,” he said. “In our country we cannot go back, a war is underway and these treatments would be impossible there. Thabet will soon be transferred to the Camaldoli for the long rehabilitation.”

Thabet, the sole survivor, has undergone multiple surgeries.”Now he is better,they have made a miracle,” Mohammed said. “but he still does not remember anything and every time we ask him what happened he gets nervous. He knows that his sister is gone and he feels responsible for not having protected her, even if there was very little to do.”
