Eric Mabius Arrested in Florida for Simple Battery and Resisting Arrest
Eric Mabius, a known figure from Hallmark’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” series, was arrested early Thursday morning in Yulee, Florida. The actor is facing two misdemeanor charges: simple battery and resisting arrest without violence, according to an arrest record obtained by Archynetys.
Incident Details
The arrest occurred at a bar in Nassau County around 2 a.m. local time. According to a statement from the arresting officer with the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department, Mabius allegedly “knocked” two women to the ground during an altercation at the bar. One of the women was reportedly intoxicated and causing trouble, while the other was allegedly being harassed.

Details from the Arresting Officer
According to the arresting officer, Mabius got on top of one of the victims once she was on the ground and allegedly ripped a handful of her hair from her scalp. Multiple individuals at the bar were able to intervene and pull Mabius and the intoxicated woman off the victim.
Additionally, the intoxicated woman was also arrested for simple battery. Mabius became more aggressive once authorities brought him outside the bar. He reportedly did not follow simple commands to sit on a bench and attempted to walk away during the police investigation, resulting in him being placed under arrest on charges of resisting arrest without violence.
Witness Account
A witness who was reportedly spat on by the intoxicated woman claimed that Mabius “slung both girls to the ground.” When officers arrived, the witness assisted in apprehending Mabius. However, the witness did not want to press charges for being spat on. The woman who was knocked down, however, wished to press charges against both Mabius and the intoxicated woman.
Eric Mabius’s Acting Career
Mabius starred in Hallmark’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” series and played Daniel Meade on “Ugly Betty” from 2006 until 2010. His career spanned several notable television roles, making him a recognizable figure in the entertainment industry.
