National Let's Laugh Day: Some of the funniest entertainers have Oklahoma ties | Entertainment

Edwards was born July 26, 1922, in Tulsa but the family moved to Hollywood Three years later, and he grew up on his father's movie sets. His career as a film director included several of Hollywood's best known comedies, especially those involving sight gags and physical comedies. Some of those movies includes "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "10," the "Pink Panther" and "Victor, Victoria." Edwards died in December 2010 while in Santa Monica, California, from complications from pneumonia.
