Melania Trump will be honored as the ‘distinctive woman’ of the Florida school

Every year, for the past 28 years, two women have shared the spotlight as honored at the lunch of the Women of Distinction awards at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

This year, that focus will be on just one.

PBAU has announced that the first lady Melania Trump is her distinctive wife 2020. She will be the only one honored at lunch, which honors women who have made significant contributions to the community.

“Our first lady is an exquisite human being, a magnificent wife and life partner, an excellent mother and an outstanding first lady, who represents us brilliantly in the United States and around the world,” said Co-President Eileen Burns. “Melania is a perfect example of a Woman Distinction and we are proud to honor her.”

The first lady, Melania Trump, is next to President Donald Trump at her New Year's Eve party at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida on December 31, 2019.

In his first lady role, Trump focuses on the problems that affect children.

In May 2017, he announced the launch of Be Best, his political initiative that promotes the social and emotional health of children. Its mission is to address the problems facing children today by focusing on three main pillars: Wellness, online security and opioid abuse.

Trump has traveled throughout the country and internationally to highlight programs and people dedicated to helping children overcome these modern concerns.

What is ‘Be Best’? The initiative of Melania Trump? And what have you achieved?

“The first ladies define the history of our country,” said co-president Frances Fisher. “We are honored to recognize Mrs. Trump as a distinctive woman and the only first lady since Mrs. Kennedy is a Palm Beach resident. This will be a truly memorable event. “

Previous winners of the Women of Distinction Award, which recognizes women for their charitable leadership in organizations that support arts, education, medical care and other community initiatives, are actress Nicki Harris, fashion designer Lily Pulitzer Rousseau, the co-founder of Autism Speaks, Suzanne Wright, The Mayor of Palm Beach, Gail Coniglio, and Candy Carson, wife of the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson.

The 29th annual event will be held on February 19. The proceeds benefit a PBAU scholarship fund for female students.
