Home and Away actor Ben Unwin dies at the age of 41

Former Home and away actor Ben Unwin died at the age of 41.

The cast of the popular Australian soap paid tribute to the actor who played the rebellious Jesse McGregor between 1996 and 2000 and again from 2002 and 2005.

He was found dead near the eastern gold coast of Australia on August 14.

His death is not treated as suspicious.

Kimberley Cooper, who played Gypsy Nash in the beloved series, paid tribute to her former co-star on Instagram.

She shared a photo of a magazine cover that she shared with Unwin and wrote: "My first TV weekly cover was with you.

"We laughed for years, whether it was giggling on the set when we tried to get through scenes like lovers, or laughed about the belly in the pubs after work.

"I will be sad now, but I promise to tell stories of great joy about our time together.

"You have a special place in my heart forever. I love you, onion."

Ada Nicodemou, who played McGregor & # 39; s girlfriend Leah Polous, described the news as "tragic."

"I just woke up from the tragic news of Ben & # 39; s death, my heart goes out to his family," she said.

NSW Police said in a statement: "Police attended Minyon Falls, Whian Whian, in response to a concern for well-being.

"The body of a 41-year-old man was located. Death was not treated as suspicious."

Unwin & # 39; s turn to Home And Away earned him a Logie Award nomination for Most Popular New Talent in 1997, and the same year he was tapped for a British National Television Award.

After leaving the show, he completed a law degree and worked as a senior lawyer in Sydney
