Ariana Grande has accused the organizers of the Grammy Awards of & # 39; lying & # 39; and & # 39; play games & # 39 ;.

"I kept my mouth shut, but now you lie about me", wrote the singer on Twitter.

Grammy's boss Ken Ehrlich claimed that Ariana struggled to compose a performance for the show, which takes place on Sunday.

"It was when my creativity and self-expression were suppressed by you, that I decided not to be present," she added.

The line seems to be centered around which numbers are expected to be included in the performance of Ariana.

According to reports, the 25-year-old wanted to run her new single 7 Rings.

When the Grammy's rejected that it was suggested instead that Ariana Grande perform a medley of songs including her latest hit.

"I offered three different songs, it's about cooperation, it's about feeling supported, it's about art and honesty," Ariana said.

"I can put together a performance during the night and you know that, Ken, I hope the show is exactly what you want and much more."

Ariana Grande does not have to act in the Grammy's to stimulate her sales or to increase her fanbase.

By the time the show starts on Sunday night, her fifth album, Thank You, Next will undoubtedly be at the top.

Fans are much more enthusiastic about her music videos than they would see her perform live in the Grammy's, especially if you're not there.

It is a much bigger loss for the Grammy's to not have the biggest pop star in the world to perform on their show.

The decision of Ariana Grande not to act is the newest blow for the organizers of this year's event.

Ken Ehrlich confirmed that rappers Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino had rejected all offers to be carried out.

"The fact is that we still have a problem in the hip hop world", he told the Associated Press.

"If they do not take the big prize home, the attention for the academy and what the Grammy's represent will remain less important for the hip-hop community, which is a shame."

Kendrick, Drake and Childish Gambino are all invited to the awards, despite the fact that they have not accepted the invitation to play – although it is unclear whether they will attend the ceremony.

The Grammy's still include performances by Cardi B, Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello, Post Malone and Janelle Monáe.

The singer is nominated for the best Best Pop Vocal Album and the best Pop Solo performance at the 61st annual Grammy Awards.

Kendrick Lamar and Drake lead the nominations with respectively eight and seven nominations.

The Grammy's are held on Sunday, February 10 in Los Angeles and are hosted by Alicia Keys.
