Here is finally a first complete overview of the design of the Huawei Mate 40. The smartphone has a curved screen and bypass the notch of the Mate 30 in favor of a hole in the upper left corner. Huawei has again made the choice of a circular photo module on the back and significantly increased its size.
The Huawei Mate 40 continues to unfold, several months before its launch. This year, the manufacturer would have planned to decline the model in 4 variants against two usually. What will the Mate 40 look like? Finally, here is a first glimpse of its design that we owe as often to the French leaker OnLeaks. He managed to get his hands on 3D models of the smartpone and offers us a first glimpse of it via renderings created in collaboration with the designer HandsetExpert.
Huawei Mate 40: here is its design from every angle
As a screen protector that leaked a few days ago indicated, the Huawei Mate 40 sports a curved screen on the sides like its predecessor, but abandons its notch in favor of a punch spacious enough to accommodate two photo sensors at the front. At the back, the smartphone inherits the circular photo module Mate 30 The mother 30 more Huawei has dramatically increased its size, as has its outgrowth which is more marked at the rear.
The Huawei Mate 40 has four photo sensors. Like Samsung and Xiaomi, Huawei has finally decided to switch to a main sensor of 108 MP. The bump on the back is expected to house three larger sensors and a mysterious fourth module that could be a laser autofocus or a ToF sensor. The Mate 40 Pro as far as it is concerned should benefit from a periscope module like the P40 Pro with a 5x optical zoom, even 10x as on the P40 Pro +.
Huawei Mate 40: a more compact screen
According to information from OnLeaks, the Mate 40 should have a more compact screen than its predecessor. The slab measures approximately 6.4 inches diagonally, against 6.62 inches for the Huawei Mate 30. The dimensions of the smartphone would also be smaller: 158.6 x 72.5 x 8.9 mm (10.4 mm with the rear camera bump) against 160.8 x 76.1 x 8.4 mm for the current model. The latter is however slightly less thick without the protuberance of the camera. Oddly enough, as you can see in the first image below, there is a two unusual locations whose purpose is still unknown on the top edge of the Huawei Mate 40.
