Capture of Suspect in Police Car Arson Case

After a period of evasion, Poltak Simanjuntak, also known as Sulaeman alias Madura Simanjuntak, a suspect connected to the burning of a police vehicle in Depok, has been taken into custody in Siak Regency, Riau. the arrest was confirmed by Commissioner Ade Kuncoro, Director of Criminal examination for the Riau Regional Police, who stated that the apprehension occurred on April 25, 2025, following a request for assistance from the jakarta Metropolitan Police Directorate of Criminal Investigation on April 21, 2025.

Details of the Arrest and Escape Route

Simanjuntak was apprehended at a family residence located on Jalan Baru Lus, Tualang, in the Siak Regency of Riau Province. Investigations revealed that he had fled Jakarta from the Pasar Rebo Terminal, utilizing a bus to reach merak port. From Merak, he boarded an ALS bus, commonly used for inter-Sumatra travel, to Pekanbaru, and afterward traveled to Tualang to seek refuge at his family’s home.

The Riau Police Siber Subdit V Team followed up on the report, where on April 25, 2025 at around 14.00 WIB the team succeeded in arresting the perpetrators of the Simanjuntak alias Sulaeman alias Madura Simanjuntak.

further investigation by the Jakarta Metropolitan police has revealed that Poltak Simanjuntak is allegedly a member of Grib Jaya Branch Harjamukti. This facts came to light following his arrest.According to Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, Public Relations Commissioner for the Metro Jaya Police, Simanjuntak is believed to be part of the GMAS G Task Force within the Harjamukti Branch of Depok.
