Francesco De Gregori really needs no introduction, just as his most famous songs do not need to be remembered, from The Cannon woman to Rimmel, from Viva l’Italia to Alice, from Buffalo Bill to Titanic and General.
De Gregori has enchanted and fascinated young people and adults for over half a century, with his music crossed by rock, popular and great ballads, alternating with political themes and introspective and romantic novels.
Memorable his collaborations with Lucio Dalla, Ivan Graziani, Antonello Venditti, Riccardo Cocciante.
He took his first artistic steps at the dawn of the 70s, not yet twenty years old and his career has never had any setbacks.
Con il Tour THE GREATEST HITS concluded at the beginning of 2022, Francesco De Gregori proposed his most famous songs, as the title of the tour suggests, re-proposing his workhorses that made him famous to the general public.
Currently Francesco De Gregori is on tour with Antonello Venditti.

De Gregori’s great successes
The first career success was certainly the song Alicein the early ’70s, encore and amplified by Rimmelin 1975.
Since then, De Gregori has always positively amazed critics and audiences, with his sound and his lyrics, both with politically engaged ones and with sentimental songs and romantic ballads.
In 1979, the album dal vico considered among the most beautiful ever in Italian music: Banana Republic with Lucio Dalla
There are 20 studio albums recorded by Francesco De Gregori and almost as many live ones. Furthermore, the collections of the Roman author are not counted.
In any case, it is impossible to sum up the over 50-year career of the singer-songwriter and musician, a multifaceted and intergenerational character, capable of being appreciated for his political commitment and for his ability to put into music and busy thematic words and light themes.
There are also numerous historical-political references in his ancient and recent passages.
Live, moreover, De Gregori often proposes rearrangements of his songs with original versions compared to the pieces recorded in the studio.
Among the curiosities concerning the artist, the one relating to the admiration for two sacred monsters of international music: “The boundless admiration for De André convinced me to try this profession. And then Bob Dylan”. Just with Bob Dylan, De Gregori had a meeting in 1984, when he was accompanied in the dressing rooms of the Palaeur where Dylan held a series of concerts.
