The Darmstadt district court sentenced a 42-year-old Moroccan to life imprisonment for murder. In a relationship dispute, he had shot a woman in her sports car.
DARMSTADT – After a fatal shot at a businesswoman in her sports car, the Darmstadt district court sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murder. “Witnesses saw an outstretched arm coming out of the side window and the next moment a shot was fired,” the presiding judge described in the verdict on Thursday the act committed in Offenbach.
According to the court, the 42-year-old Moroccan fatally injured the woman on the neck on May 9, 2019. The 44-year-old sister of his ex-girlfriend wanted to pick up her son from sports when the accused stood next to her in a rented car and pulled the trigger. According to prosecutors, the man had blamed his victim for the sister’s separation from him. The verdict is not yet legally binding. The defense is reviewing a revision.
