The identity of the girl, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, has been determined through forensic research. A cause of death is not yet determined. Police sources reported to NBC News that the body was in advanced state of dissolution and was not intact. According to the coroner, it is possible that the girl has been dead in the car for a long time.

Celeste appears to have been reported missing more than a year ago. She was 13 years old at the time of her disappearance and was last seen in Lake Elsinore, in the state of California, about an hour and a half from Los Angeles.

On 8 September, agents found the heavily bolded body, after they received reports about a dirty scent that came from the vehicle. After the find, they discovered that the vehicle is probably owned by the 20-year-old singer, whose official name is David Anthony Burke.
According to American news site TMZ, her mother confirmed that Celeste had a friend named David.
Performance D4VD canceled
A D4VD spokesperson previously reported that he was aware of what had happened and “fully cooperated with the authorities.”
D4VD is currently working on a world tour, where he will also visit Europe next month. Earlier this year he was at the popular Festival Coachella. TMZ reports that his planned performance for Wednesday in Seattle has been canceled.
